Exterior Design

The 2024 Nissan Rogue has a bold and modern look that sets it apart from its rivals. Its V-shaped grille and LED headlights give it a distinctive presence on the road. The Toyota RAV4, meanwhile, features a sportier design. Both SUVs offer a variety of color options, allowing you to customize the exterior to your liking.

Interior Space and Comfort

The Nissan Rogue's interior is designed with comfort in mind. It offers more legroom for both front and rear passengers than the Toyota RAV4 does, and its available Zero Gravity seats provide excellent support during long drives. Both SUVs offer available heated front and rear outboard seats, available leather upholstery options, and an available hands-free liftgate. The Rogue takes the convenience a step farther with its remote-folding rear seats, a Divide-N-Hide® cargo system, and a “floating” front console with smart storage (which leaves room for a purse or briefcase to be tucked safely next to your seat).

Performance

The Rogue comes with a 1.5-liter DOHC 3-cylinder engine, and the RAV4 comes with a 2.5-liter Dynamic Force 4-cylinder engine. Despite having a smaller engine, the Rogue pumps out nearly as much horsepower and more torque than the RAV4 does. The Rogue has a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), while the RAV4 has a Direct Shift 8-speed Electronically Controlled Automatic Transmission with Intelligence (ECT-i). Both models can be equipped with all-wheel drive, and both come with a variety of drive modes for various terrains.

Safety and Driver Assistance Features

The Nissan Rogue features Nissan's Safety Shield® 360 system, which includes standard Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind-Spot Warning, and Lane Departure Warning. The Toyota RAV4 comes with Toyota Safety Sense 2.5®, which contains many of the same features; however, the RAV4 doesn’t include a standard Blind–Spot Warning system – you must pay more to upgrade to a higher trim with a Blind Spot Monitor.

Technology Features

If you’re a tech fan, you can equip either of these models with premium technology. Both come with touchscreen displays for music, maps, and settings, with the Rogue’s largest available display measuring 12.3 inches and the RAV4’s measuring 10.5 inches. The Rogue can also be equipped with an available Head-Up Display which projects vital trip information onto the windshield. This allows you to see directions, your speed, and other info without taking your eyes off the road. This feature isn’t available on the RAV4. Finally, both models come with standard voice recognition, allowing you to control certain features by simply speaking.
